AlmaMaterStore.in is an online store providing apparel and memorabilia to alumni and students from schools and colleges across India.
Varun Agarwal is a first-generation entrepreneur, film maker and author. He co-founded Alma Mater and two other companies – Reticular and Last Minute Films. He is also the author of a national bestselling book “How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-Founded A Million Dollar Company” published by Rupa publishers in June 2012. His debut book became a national bestseller within a month of its release.
Alma Mater Store is established in November 2009 by Varun Agarwal and Rohn Malhotra, both ex-students of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, who initially just wanted a t-shirt with their schools name on it. Soon, their friends who studied in other schools started asking them to make t-shirts for their school. And thus the venture ended up making t-shirts for top city school. Then they created a website where people could order for their school shirts.
