Chain of History Blocks
1991 – The concept of distributed computing has been around since 1990s. In 1991, Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta published a paper that proposed calculating hash values of documents and saving them with a timestamp. They ideated the concept of a cryptographically secured chain of blocks.
2008 – Bitcoin and the concept of its blockchain were first introduced by Satoshi Nakomoto in the fall of 2008 as a whitepaper.
2009 – Bitcoin released as open-source software.
2011-12 – The deployment of cryptocurrency in application related to cash
2012 – 2013 – Evolution of currency transaction and digital payment systems
2013 – Ethereum, a blockchain platform with the ability to build decentralized applications, was described in a white paper by Vitalik Buterin.
2013- 2014 – Financial markets and application using blockchain beyond cash transactions
2014 – R3 Blockchain consortium formed
2014 – 2015 – Evolution of smart contracts
2015 – Linux foundation unveiled Hyperledger to enhance Blockchain development.
2015 – 2016 – Permissioned blockchain network solutions
2016 – 2017 – Market evolution, sub-development and exploration across industries
2018-2019 – Evolution of phased applications of the blockchain technology and entered as mainstream
