The era of CGI animated movie has begun with the release of Toy Story, a 1995 American computer-animated film produced by Pixar. It was the first entirely computer-animated feature film. In 2006, the pioneer of American animation industry, Walt Disney company acquired Pixar because Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, realized that their only hope of surviving in the animation game was acquiring Pixar, which had produced the most memorable characters Disney’s had in a decade. Thus, Disney reclaimed its throne of the animation.
